Wine & Food Local Guide
Mauri is a Computer Science Engineer at the UPC. He has worked for several consulting companies in national and international projects regardint process management, business intelligence and other disciplines. However, he chosed one day to listen to his heart and decided to make the initial step to dedicate himself to what he really loved and made him vibrate: the world of wine and its culture.
Sommelier by the Hotel School Sant Ignasi (Jesuitas de Sarrià) in 2013, he started with tasks related to the food and gastronomy. Co-founder of Barcelonear, a leisure activities company for foodies tourists, around our gastronomic and wine culture in the city of Barcelona. He has worked as a sommelier in the restaurant La Sal, as well as restaurant advisor, preparation of wine lists for restaurants and he currently supports several Catalan wineries to export their wines to Brazil.
Born and raised in Barcelona, he consideres himself a 100%-Barcelona-person. He continues to thrill like a child when he visits a new country, when he tries a new flavor or he discovers a new wine ... hedonistic, he loves cooking, he enjoys eating and specially with a good wine, he loves good conversation and he enjoys the company of his friends. If you want to make Mauri happy, you can give him a good wine ... the rest will come alone!
