Agricultural Engineer and Winemaker
Carles has breathed the vine and the wine since he was a child in the farm where his father was born and lived, and where many generations have lived and where the cask-wine was made and sold to wine merchants.
He still remembers when playing in the patio of the farm at the harvesting period, the strong smell of the breeze, those winepresses where the wine fermented and his father coming down with the candle. Those memories that are actually revived againt with his new project called Vinyes de L'Albà.
After many years of professional training, even harvesting at the other side of the world (Australia), Carles began in 2010 his own adventure of putting in a bottle with a personal image and name, the fruit of those vineyards that he had planted with his father and those that they recovered and avoided to be pulled up.
He will always remember the moment his father was asking him: "Why do we plant the vines so close to each other?" and then Carles answered 'to make high-quality wine". This was then an important commitment that one day would bring excellent results and it was so.
